You make me feel
less like hell.

Step into the cold rain with Kross Irwin, sharing the feelings of lost love. Reminisce the days of happiness and the fight getting that love back.

“Less Like Hell had no direction when I first made it. I was reflecting on my relationship and my life all at once. Before I made the full song, I started making the beat. Usually I have to brainstorm around but I heard this sample and wanted to mess with it. I spent the whole day listening to the sample and sung the chorus in my head. Eventually, I recorded the chorus and just played it on loop. It was not only refreshing to hear myself try something new, but it made me grateful for my best friend being my girlfriend even more. The song is really just a “thank you” to her alone. However, it’s a very relatable song to many couples. Apart from being a thank you, it’s just me being open about how much light she brings to my life, even on my worst days.”

Kristian Bennese, Director

When developing the concept behind this visual, I understood the importance of the perfect location. The settings used in this visual breathed life into the concept and meaning behind the record. Mixing yellow into the dull color pallet symbolizes hope. Kross totes a yellow rain jacket providing shelter from the rain while his lover carries yellow flowers throughout the visual. Ultimately coming to Kross’s side, we see the couple walk away, flowers in hand, his yellow rain jacket left behind.

Kross Irwin, Producer

“As an artist, I try to be as authentic and relatable as possible. I try to be creative in my own way without feeling like I have to cater to a specific sound. I like to try new things and new sounds and new ideas. I don’t know what my style fully is, but I feel those people who enjoy my music really do because I try to be realistic and honest. At times I have fun with it, you have to time to time, but for the most part I want people to know that we’re really all similar no matter how creative or famous or rich or poor or anything else.”
