Joshua Tree, Calif.

Stepping into the warm summer air, the sunset fades into a warm pink glow blanketing the desert landscape. Filmed during a road trip through Southern California, Pink Skies luminate the horizon.

The artist, alone and heartbroken breaks free of his private prison. xojimmie dashes to the desert, soaking in the pink sunset.

“Pink Skies focuses on finding life and beauty in the world surrounding you. Realizing that life is more beautiful than the person you created in your head, you wonder what road you could have taken. Shifting the focus to finding yourself, who or what I liked never changed. Although our intentions never meshed, I was able to heal. I headed outside.”

“Joshua Tree was the perfect location. Combined with the production it depicted the moment I began to find myself, while also seeing people for their true intentions. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being true to you and moving onto new things.”

“This project was a journey, hearing the record for the first time while I was in Portugal I had something special on my hands. Flying across the world to the Mojave Desert we created a timeless project.”
